Recorded in the Olivier Music Barn in November 2024, Baroque Music Montana performed some of the most passionate music of the early 1600s. The album features soprano Arwen Myers in sacred and profane love songs, along with examples of the ‘bastarda’ repertoire, an instrumental style transforming songs into fantastical, passionate caprices all their own with Nate Helgesen, dulcian; John Lenti, theorbo, and Carrie Krause, Baroque violin. The album was produced by Ingrid Matthews, edited by Luke Scheeler, engineered and mastered by Jeremiah Slovarp, and released by Black Bear Records.
